Michael Muller, Regional Business Leader, Hemmera, Whitehorse, Yukon
Michael has been living and working in the north for almost 25 years. He is a professional biologist passionate about the many interactions between humans and the environment. Previously he managed the Wildlife Management Unit, Western Arctic for the Government of the Northwest Territories, but much of his career has been focussed on environmental and socio-economic assessment. Now a consultant, Michael has had the opportunity to provide support to organisations that influence and make decisions about how we manage the environment: governments (First Nation, territorial and federal), co-management organisations, communities, and resource development companies. He has experience throughout the project lifecycle, from project planning and baseline data collection (scientific and TK), through assessment and permitting, monitoring during operations, and remediation. Michael has extensive experience building bridges between project proponents and local stakeholders.
